Dear Reader Good MorningNearly a month ago, I started a draft of the 3rd newsletter with the words, "We had a seriously overloaded week this week.". It ended up with more of the same for an entire month. Finally, I can take the time to write to my dearest community members and tell you more about what's happening. First things firstI may say I have already convinced quite a few people to take a look at what's happening with AI. Some embraced this evolution, and a few dived in so profoundly that they are now a source of inspiration for my own journey. I'll try to convince them to share their findings on our platform. Today I had the first reactions to the post on Linkedin and the blog. It may seem like a small step to you, but it matters a lot to me. Thank you. Therefore I'll let the writers decide what this newsletter will be about. The virtual AI-TEAMAs asked, here is a story about my own experience with my AI-TEAM. One of the ways or situations I use the AI-TEAM technique is in deciding what to write and if what I am writing might interest our AI Leadership community and future candidate members. Chat with ChatGPTI'll give you the summary and my comments on the essential parts of today's Chat with my AI TEAM. So, this is how today's prompt began: “
L:
We are going to gather a team of specialists to examine if the content I am producing still fits the needs of our audience. You know about my audience and my goal. Who would you propose if we had to gather 8 diversified specialists to help us in this task? About the part saying, "You know about my audience and my goal.”, just accept it for a moment; I'll come to that in the second part of this letter. ChatGPT proposed some competencies: AI Expert, Leadership Coach, Content Strategist, Digital Marketing Specialist, Audience Representative, Ethics Advisor, Data Analyst, Learning & Development Specialist and described why they interest the team. I prefer to work with names, so the next step is 'Who would you choose to represent those competencies?' ChatGPT has a few standard go-to's when I ask him this, but you are free to add or change whoever you want. The names chosen are in the order of the competencies, Dr Fei-Fei Li, John C. Maxwell, Ann Handley, Neil Patel, Audience Representative, Timnit Gebru, Hilary Mason, and. Josh Bersin. Again, ChatGPT ads what would be the benefits of havings those people in the AI-TEAM. I didn't choose an Audience Representative from our community, but if you feel inspired, please join the party. I added two very inspiring names, Andrew Ng and Sir John Whitmore. It is interesting to see if and why ChatGPT appreciates the choices. With my two names, it was pretty obvious. “
ChatGPT:
Andrew Ng: As a co-founder of Coursera and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, Andrew Ng is a pioneer in online education and AI. His expertise in machine learning, AI, and education would be extremely beneficial. He could potentially fit into the role of the AI Expert, providing cutting-edge insights into AI and its applications. Sir John Whitmore: Known as a leading figure in executive coaching, leadership development and team performance, Sir John Whitmore's work has influenced the field of professional personal development. Although he passed away in 2017, his teachings and methodologies, particularly the GROW model, remain highly relevant today. His role could be that of the Leadership Coach, providing timeless wisdom on leadership development. If you're interested in delving deeper into AI, I highly recommend Andrew Ng. He's not only a highly knowledgeable professor but also an exceptional teacher. The task is easyOnce your team is chosen, you can give them your task or question. “
L:
Marvellous; let them look at my latest blogs {blog link} and give their feedback on the content and advice for future writings. By the way, I often give compliments or say please and thank you in my interactions with ChatGPT. Not that I feel my friend becoming sentient, but since it's all about statistics and getting the most probable reaction from the chatbot based on all his input, I am convinced that the probability of having a nice answer is statistically greater when you are nice yourself (by the way I discovered that it also works for humans … at least in most cases). I'll come back in the next blog on how not to get fooled by the mirrored gentleness you get by ChatGPT. In the meantime, I gather feedback from every team member and take note of their advice for future work. ChatGPT is able to imagine the feedback based on all the information that has been written by and about the AI-TEAM members. Although the feedback is virtual, it is still very interesting and valuable. “
ChatGPT:
Based on the content from your AI Leadership blog, here's how I imagine the feedback from the proposed specialists might look: AI Expert (Andrew Ng): Your content is up-to-date with the latest AI developments, such as the introduction of LONGNET and the use of ChatGPT. Please continue to stay abreast of new advancements and incorporate them into your writings. Leadership Coach (Sir John Whitmore): Your leadership insights are valuable, particularly in the context of AI. Consider incorporating more practical leadership strategies and examples that your audience can apply in their own leadership journey. Content Strategist (Ann Handley): Your posts are engaging and cover a range of topics. However, consider creating a more consistent content structure to make it easier for readers to follow. Digital Marketing Specialist (Neil Patel): Your blog titles are catchy and intriguing. Continue to optimize them for SEO to increase your online visibility. Audience Representative: As a member of your audience, I appreciate the personal narratives and musings. They add a personal touch and make the content relatable. Ethics Advisor (Timnit Gebru): Your commitment to ethical AI use is commendable. Consider dedicating more content to discussing the ethical implications of AI in leadership. Data Analyst (Hilary Mason): Consider using analytics to identify which topics resonate most with your audience. This can guide your future content creation.
Learning & Development Specialist (Josh Bersin): Your content is informative and promotes learning. Consider adding more actionable takeaways or "next steps" for readers to apply what they've learned.
AI Expert (Dr. Fei-Fei Li): Your exploration of AI tools and technologies is comprehensive. Consider diving deeper into how these tools can be used in practical, everyday leadership scenarios. Leadership Coach (John C. Maxwell): Your leadership insights are valuable. Consider incorporating more about how to develop leadership skills in an AI-driven world.
Remember, this is simulated feedback based on the roles these individuals might play. Actual feedback may vary based on their personal perspectives and expertise.
A few extra stepsI ask ChatGPT to be their spokesperson and to give me a summary of their counsel. And finally, in this case, I asked ChatGPT: “
L:
"If I only had time today for 3 steps, what would be my priorities?" To which ChatGPT answers: “
ChatGPT:
Given the feedback and your current situation, here are the top three priorities I would suggest for today: 1. Content Structure: Start working on a consistent structure for your blog posts. This could involve defining a standard format for your introductions, main points, and conclusions. A well-structured post will enhance readability and engagement. 2. SEO Optimization: Review your most recent blog posts and look for opportunities to improve SEO. This could involve incorporating relevant keywords, optimizing meta descriptions, or improving your use of headers. SEO is a continuous process, and regular adjustments can significantly improve your visibility. 3. Plan for Ethical AI Content: Begin outlining a blog post or series of posts dedicated to the ethical implications of AI in leadership. This is a crucial topic that aligns with your commitment to ethical AI use and will likely resonate with your audience. Start by identifying key points you want to cover and any relevant examples or case studies you could include. For the last step, I consult with the experts to obtain crucial advice on which actions to take. If you're curious, I am more than happy to share their insights but rest assured that I will put them into action. My AI team has provided me with the necessary steps for my next move. It is now my responsibility to follow their advice. As Keanu Reeves would say, "I am the One." How can ChatGPT know about my audience and goal?Briefly, to be sure this letter still gets in your post, the part about "You know about my audience and my goal". Therefore I'll link you to the coming blog about the new "Custom Instructions" option from ChatGPT. Currently, in order to utilize the "Custom Instructions" feature, you must have a Plus account and use a VPN, as this feature is only available in the US. But believe me, it is absolutely worth it. If you read the blog, you'll see I describe this new option as 'not being a moon landing'. But, this morning, I discovered a way to use it, making it even a 'Mars landing' for me and my usage. As we speak, I am writing an entire blog about using this new option to become an absolute level 1001 efficiency boost. But you'll have to wait a few days because I don't think I'll be able to finish it today. If I do, you'll be the first to know; until then, as always Yours in AI
