The Exponential Technological Evolution: A Brief Stroll Down Humanity's Lane

Each of my presentations embarked on a brief yet poignant journey through humanity's technological voyage, drawing parallels to the accelerated pace at which our digital narratives evolve.

From the inception of writing 6000 years ago, the proliferation of book printing 600 years past, to the digitalization wave that swept over us 60 years ago, and the tech world's self-writing odyssey that began a mere 6 years back with the first GPT, culminating in the absolutely disruptive launch on November 30, 2022 of ChatGPT.

During my recent Keynotes centered around Generative AI, I navigated the realms of the contemporary GPT frameworks. While the dimensions of Generative and Pre-trained were easy to grasp, the intricacies of the transformer architecture initially posed a more significant challenge.

However, serendipity led me to a brilliant presentation of the Financial Times that illuminated the enigmatic transformer part, unraveling its essence in a digestible manner.

A whimsical thought crossed my mind - in a world soon to be inundated with AI-infused applications, should the term AI in 'AI Leadership' undergo a rechristening?

However, a broader reflection unveiled that the 'AI' we are fostering resonates more with 'Authenticity' and 'Integrity' - the core tenets that will navigate us through the disruptive tides ahead.

This epiphany underscores the essence of real leadership in these exhilarating yet challenging epochs.

The Ethical Conundrum: From Cambridge Analytica to Facebook's Ray-Ban glasses and Beyond

As the repercussions of Cambridge Analytica's unethical data exploits still echo through our ethical corridors, a broader lens revealed the source of all that data - Facebook.

Despite a fleeting dent in its stock value post-revelation, Facebook's stock soared to new heights shortly after.

Now, as they unveil their Ray-Ban glasses equipped with cameras, we stand on the cusp of yet another data deluge.

When the inevitable scandal of footage misuse will surface, it will stir a new storm in a teacup, awakening a transient wave of awareness before it's eclipsed by the perennial hum of ignorance that seems to lull humanity into a numbed slumber.
