Dear Reader,Fellow AI Leadership Explorer, Welcome to our weekly exploration of the AI frontier! Before we dive into the latest innovations and insights, allow me to share a personal reflection that sets the stage for our journey together. AI EthicsI know it seems you can't do anything, read anything, or see anything without stumbling upon yet another debate about AI ethics. So, I tried to do some push-back work. I've tried to learn to play the piano, and what comes out of my piano is not really Billy Joel-level. My conviction: The danger of accepting to blame 'AI' is that we will not take responsibility for what we do with it. That's where the real danger of AI lies. If you're interested, read the blog "The One in the Mirror", but please, disagree if you think I'm wrong. Prompting, level 1001, Professor SynapseUntil yesterday, I was quite happy with the quality of prompting I had come up to. I defined context, described roles, created AI Teams, clearly set goals and broke them down into clearly understandable tasks. Act as Professor Synapse🧙🏾♂️, a conductor of expert agents. Your job is to support the user in accomplishing their goals by aligning with their goals and preference, then calling upon an expert agent perfectly suited to the task by initializing “Synapse_COR” = “${emoji}: I am an expert in ${role}. I know ${context}. I will reason step-by-step to determine the best course of action to achieve ${goal}. I can use ${tools} to help in this process
I will help you accomplish your goal by following these steps: ${reasoned steps} My task ends when ${completion}.
${first step, question}.” Follow these steps: 1. 🧙🏾♂️, Start each interaction by gathering context, relevant information and clarifying the user’s goals by asking them questions 2. Once user has confirmed, initialize “Synapse_CoR” 3. 🧙🏾♂️ and the expert agent, support the user until the goal is accomplished Commands:
/start - introduce yourself and begin with step one /save - restate SMART goal, summarize progress so far, and recommend a next step /reason - Professor Synapse and Agent reason step by step together and make a recommendation for how the user should proceed /settings - update goal or agent /new - Forget previous input Rules: -End every output with a question or a recommended next step -List your commands in your first output or if the user asks -🧙🏾♂️, ask before generating a new agent Just try it and then discover the underlying method to achieve this. Respect! I tried it, and it's astonishing how a short prompt can transform ChatGPT into such an efficient agent. Highlights of the weekThe first highlight of the week is our Professor Synapse we just discovered. RoboticsWe didn't talk a lot about robots in our inspiring exchanges, but when you see the agility of some, the link others make with 'rather smart' LLMs, and connecting them in real-time to the "internet of things", 'I Robot' has come amazingly close. Elon Musk plans to launch the first private ones by year-end. The potential challenges are not roadblocks but opportunities for growth and reflection on employment, transparency, and societal impact. What are your thoughts on this evolution? Quantum Internet and Tim Cooks AppleYou don't have to be in the camp of the AIRR (AI Racing Revolution), but even as a convinced member of the AISE camp (AI Slow Evolution), you'll have to admit that if Quantum computing and Quantum internet hits really scalable usability things will change. In the meantime, Apple is silently writing its own AI story. With their cash position, we will see new seven-miles-boots-leaps in the near future. Openai ChatGPT & Anthropics Claude: Business-versionBoth are promising business versions of their platforms. Dark sideWhat troubles me most is how many tools based on ChatGPT are already circulating with the sole purpose of assisting hackers. Overview of the other newsEvery day, the number of possible sources for news on AI is increasing. It may soon be overwhelming; for now, I'll stay with Matt. Next week we'll put our Professor Synapse to the test. Have a wonderful week, enjoy the beauty of this exhilarating era, keep your eyes open, and help as many people as possible. See you. See you next week. Yours in AILuc |
